Free, Personalised Job and Training Support for Parents with Young Children
Are you a parent or carer who needs help finding a job, starting training, or accessing vital support? MRAEL delivers the Parent Pathways program which is a voluntary support program for parents of children under 6. MRAEL and the Australian Government are working in partnership to deliver this vital service to our community, providing free, tailored services to help you achieve your personal, training or work goals – all designed to suit your family’s needs.

Childcare Support – Help with finding childcare centres and accessing financial support.
Financial Assistance – Funding for training courses, a computer, and other essentials.
Family & Domestic Violence Support – Access safe and supportive services.

Language & Literacy Programs – Improve skills to boost job opportunities.

Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who:
Have a child aged under six.
Are not in paid employment.
Live in an area where there is a Parent Pathways provider.
Receiving one of these payments: Parenting Payment. Carer Payment, Special Benefit.
If you are not receiving a Centrelink payment, you may also be eligible if you are:
Under 22 years old.
An early school leaver (parents who don’t have a year 12 qualification).
