The 2023 Tropical North Queensland Regional Final celebrates the region’s best and brightest apprentices and trainees.
Recently, Karl Ocate and Kyezaya Namai-Sabatino progressed into a finalist position in the Tropical North Region Queensland Training Awards, in the school-based trainee or apprentice category.
Mechanical work has always been a fascination for Karl, who is a Year 12 student currently completing a Certificate II in Engineering as part of a school-based traineeship in Diesel Fitting. Karl is employed by MRAEL and hosted by Rio Tinto Weipa.
Kyezaya was looking for an opportunity to explore his fascination and curiosity of heavy machinery. Kyezaya is also completing a Certificate II in Engineering as part of a school-based traineeship in Diesel Fitting. Kyezaya is employed by MRAEL and hosted by Rio Tinto Weipa.
MRAEL applauds the achievements of Karl and Kyezaya and wishes them every success at the upcoming regional finals in Cairns.
